Total War: Three Kingdoms is the latest game in Creative Assembly’s Total War franchise, a
series of turn based strategy games that allows players to take control of a faction, attempt
to eliminate rival factions and build a vast empire. This most recent entry is set in China,
during the turbulent Three Kingdoms period of the country’s history.
Many systems were overhauled for Total War: Three Kingdoms. My duties included designing the environmental systems from the ground up for both Battles and the Campaign map. I also overhauled the UI systems for the game, part of which involved designing modular UI systems that we utilised to create more flexibility and sonic variety with the system.
